Customer Review: Great
This is really a nice coffee maker. Pros - The insulated carafe doesn't rely on a burner and keeps my coffee hot - even on the bedside table - It's quick: 8 cups in 7 minutes - the programming feature lets me set it up the night before so I can get my daughter ready for school in the morning without one more thing to think about. - the water gauge is easy to see - aesthetically pleasing on the counter Cons - a little loud while brewing - doesn't do the dishes or laundry
Customer Review: Great if you love lukewarm coffee
I've had this coffee pot for two weeks, and it's being returned. I'm not sure exactly what Cuisinart is doing, but putting out a coffee maker where the temperature of the coffee is 138 degrees immediately after brewing is just not a good idea. My older Braun (which this coffee maker was to replace) brews coffee at 160 degrees. All the difference in the world. Even using the 1-4 cup button that is supposed to make the coffee "piping hot" is a joke...using it produces coffee that's only a couple of degrees hotter than when you don't use it. I'm going to try a different Cuisinart since I generally like their products, but this next one will not be a thermal pot, and I'll test the coffee on the very first brew. Not hot enough, and it too will be returned.
